A beautiful, balanced Chinese character, should fit in a square. I began folding my paper into squares, sometimes LOTS of squares, to practice my calligraphy. Recently, I found a bunch of paper I'd prepared and never used. It triggered a past idea of using individual brushstrokes to create a landscape.
What I found was that each single brushstroke was a tiny landscape all on its own.
The paintings are mounted loose in their mat so the folds in the paper remain visible. Each painting contains One-Stroke Landscapes in multiples of 8, the most auspicious of numbers.
