Creative Capital and Joan Mitchell Foundation need ARTIST input!

Individual Artists!

Please take this survey for Creative Capital & the Joan Mitchell Foundation: click here.

On behalf of Creative Capital and the Joan Mitchell Foundation, ARTISIN LLC is conducting a national, state-by-state survey of professional development opportunities for originating artists, the scope of which has never been done before; the information you provide will benefit artists and their careers. Participation by selected organizations like yours will make this project a success. Your inclusion in this groundbreaking research will be an asset to the field. The findings will be shared with the field at conferences and conventions and your organization will of course be identified in the research. This is a significant first step on the road to a national advocacy movement to support artists, their needs, their communities and the organizations that work to support them.

For the purposes of this survey, originating artists are self-identifying professional artists who create, not interpret, their art form. Additionally, for the purposes of this survey, professional development refers to any programs that help individual artists of any genre with the tools they need to develop, sustain and/or advance their art practice. Professional Development includes seminars, workshops, panels and consultations on topics such as marketing, social media, financial planning and business planning. Matriculating students are excluded from this survey, as are professional development classes that are part of an undergraduate or graduate degree-earning program.
