About Amin Safari
Amin Safari was born in Tehran, Iran. His interest in music began at the age of 6; however, he never had the chance to pursue it at that age. In search of a better education, Safari moved to Sweden and received his Masters in Bio-Medical Engineering from the University of Umea Sweden.
Amin's fascination with learning different styles of music steered him toward Flamenco. His inspirations were from famous artists such as Vicente Amigo and Paco De Lucia. Passion for Flamenco techniques leads him to compose modern fusion music.
In his seven years of living in Houston, Amin has written an abundance of music and has performed with many artists. His upcoming album features a young artist, Haleh Fotowat; she learned Kanun in Iran under the guidance of Maliheh Saeedi. She was a member of the national string instruments orchestra. Her primary training has been in traditional Iranian music; however, she is interested in fusion and combining different music styles.
