Ballet Folklórico de México de Amalia Hernández

The famed Ballet Folklórico de México de Amalia Hernández comes to Miller Outdoor Theatre on Friday, Oct. 19. The Ballet Folklórico de México combines three traditional styles of Mexican folk-dancing, separated by region.

The Ballet Folklórico de México de Amalia Hernández, first assembled in 1952, has been populated throughout the past 60 by more than 3,500 company members and serves to illustrate the ‘melting pot’ of cultures seen throughout Mexico’s varying regions.

Based in Mexico City, the company performs twice a week at the Palace of Fine Arts, in addition to touring the U.S. and 80 other countries.
