Join us as we present "BOTANIKA," photography of Gabriella Nissen.
The exhibit will feature images from her series of gorgeous and intimate flower portraits. "Creating a series of flower portraits is natural for me considering my background in fashion and portrait photography," Nissen says. "Photographing botanical specimen is the same process of discovery as photographing a person."
Nissen's Botanika has been exhibited at the Methodist Center for Performing Arts Medicine and The Arts Alliance Center in Clear Lake. Her Botanika portrait series has been shown in the Lawndale Art & Performance Center while her fashion photographs have been featured in The Houston Press, Tribeza, 002 Magazine, The Houston Chronicle and Gloss.
The Opening Reception will be held Friday, September 10, from 6PM-9Pm. The exhibit will continue through September 26, 2010.
