In order to sustain our dream and continue to fill the BOX with new and exciting works of art, we need your help! BOX 13 ArtSpace is a young artist-run nonprofit which provides an innovative environment for the creation and advancement of experimental contemporary art in Houston. BOX 13 cultivates this environment through affordable workspaces for emerging and established artists and the dedication of a significant portion of its building for exhibitions. We are pleased to announce that on Saturday, July 17th at 7pm, BOX 13 ArtSpace will host it's semi-annual fundraiser, The Empty Box.
BOX 13 relies on individual donors and its resident artists for funding. The resident artists work to foster creativity, appreciation and accessibility of visual art in order to further enrich the community. Please join us in supporting this endeavor. On July 17th, individuals will have the opportunity to support upcoming exhibition needs, purchase raffle tickets for artwork, or simply be our guest for an exciting evening of art, fun and libations! For just $50 people will have the chance to win art donated by over 100 locally and nationally known artists. There will also be a $5 poor man's raffle, and many other ways to give in order to fill our Empty Box. All donations are greatly appreciated. Visit the lounge and karaoke stage on the second floor for all your entertainment needs. The event is free and open to the public, so come out, have fun and support our fledgling East End art space!
