All of Donna's Life Line Series paintings are graphite & acrylic on canvas. Many have pages of text embedded in the paint. No black paint was used in the creation of these works. The dark lines and gray areas are built by layers of graphite.
Most of the lines were collected from the human form. The Life Line Series was drawn from live models. The Dance Series was drawn from dancers dancing. Text varies from book pages in English and Chinese to old business letters and poems written by the artist. This series was completed in 2009.
