Fresh Arts and Spacetaker are joining forces to host the second Arts Leadership Forum for Houston-based arts organizations. The topic of the second forum will be Best Practices in Development: Fundraising. Three organizations will share their best practices and greatest challenges, while the remaining time will be spent sharing amongst the group and networking. Guests will share best practices and greatest challenges on Individual Giving, Fundraising Events, Corporate Fundraising and Fundraising when you don't have a Development Department.
Guests:
Marcia Hovious, Theatre Under The Stars
Kim Stoilis, Art Colony Association
Alecia Lawyer, River Oaks Chamber Orchestra
We will also host a discussion/Q&A on Online Fundraising with Ed Schipul, Schipul the Web Marketing Company so bring your best challenges, success stories and questions you might be too scared to ask your web administrator or internet junkie ... and we'll rock it out together! Or you can submit them in advance via email to leadershipforum@spacetaker.org.
The informal mixer is 4-6PM but we know you are busy professionals and you are welcome to arrive and leave as your schedule allows. I hope you can attend or pass this along to the appropriate person at your organization who could benefit from this forum.
Please RSVP at http://artsforum.eventbrite.
**In the spirit of cooperation to strengthen our Houston arts community, please take a moment to share your best Development practice, as well as any blunders worth mentioning. (You may email them to leadershipforum@spacetaker.org, and please indicate whether you prefer to remain anonymous.) We hope to share tactics that have proven successful in the past, so that attendees may glean beneficial information that will help strengthen our collective fundraising efforts. Your input in invaluable to us, and we look forward to your participation!
