GiftofGiftof (gogo) is happy to announce its inaugural event on August 7, 2010 from 8-11pm at Next Wall Gallery (Houston, TX). This one night event is dedicated to supporting emerging artists and fashioning new art patrons in the Houston community.
On August 7, work from 14 emerging artists from around the country (and Australia) will hang on the walls in Next Wall Gallery while music you can shake a groove to blares in the back...ground. Once party-goers have soaked in the work they are able to voice their opinion by voting for their favorites. Once the official vote ends (at 10pm), the dance party begins, as the ballots are counted. The works with the most votes will be offered to the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston as gift of GiftofGiftof 2010.
Tickets for the event cost $40 and include libations, delish bites, great music and a set number of votes. The majority of the ticket cost goes towards purchasing the work from the artist, so the more tickets purchased, the more work donated! Tickets will available for purchase online at www.GiftofGiftof.com until Friday, August 6th and the evening of the event at the door, cash only.
Savor delicious frozen treats from The Fruit Palette, tantalizing bites from POParazzi's POPcorn and sip a signature gogo beverage courtesy of Nouveau Antique Art Bar or frosty brew from St. Arnold Brewing Company while shaking your booty to Grrrl Parts in the back yard.
