At Killdozer Productions our mission is to create exciting, relevant, contemporary theatre by utilizing concepts that will shape the future of theatre; concepts such as multimedia, green technologies and promoting original works by local up and coming artists.
Arthur Ignatius is a full length, two act, original work by a Houston Playwright, and we are very happy it is going to make its debut at Killdozer. It is a very clever piece about what would happen if two of the greatest storytellers of the modern age (Lewis Carroll and Arthur Conan Doyle) entered Wonderland together in order to solve a great mystery and save the story of Alice in Wonderland, which is in danger of not being published. Because of this adventure Arthur Conan Doyle is inspired to write his famous Sherlock Holmes series. It also brings to light why the Red Queen got her title and her true relationship to Alice. This play is family friendly but it is not a children’s play, due to some dark imagery and subject matter it is appropriate for children 12 and up.
Arthur Ignatius’ Adventures in Wonderland opens September 3rd at Express Theatre in the Northwest Mall and runs for three weekends, closing on September the 19th. Fri and Sat shows are at 8pm and Sunday matinee shows are at 2pm.
