Mandala, a Sanskrit word for circle, has been used as a tool for transformation since the beginning of time by many cultures in the world. Its purposes vary from, healing and connecting us to our Higher Power, connecting us to our intuition, to our creative self, to the space of forgiveness and love, or learning to relax into the unknown. When we are connected, we receive information in the form of healing symbols. Since the information is non-verbal, the mandala often gives us insights that we could get in no other way. Mandalas can be relaxing, meditative, fun and stimulates our creativity.
In this workshop you will create your own Mandala from Precious Metals Clay . You will learn how to create your own custom stamp using a photopolymer plate. Learn the technique and go for it! All materials will be provided by the instructor. You will leave with a beautiful, wearable, one-of-a-kind Mandala!
What is Precious Metal Clay (PMC)?
PMC is made up of very fine silver particles of pure silver - held together with water and an organic binder in clay like form. After a PMC project has been dried, the water eliminated, it is fired in a kiln. The binder burns away. What is left is the pure, precious metal, fine silver (..999 fine silver).
PMC is a revolutionary clay-like compound that can be molded, shaped, stamped & easily manipulated to create beautiful necklaces, beads, earrings, brooches, charms & much more.
This class will be limited to 8 participants.
No experience necessary. This class is open to all levels.
