The Society's Artist of the Month is Michael Abramowitz.

"Art is the way I communicate. I’m currently working in mediums such as pen and ink mixed media collage in large and small formats. To me, pen and ink is the way I focus on extreme detail. The forms I create are somewhat tools I use to create my final image. These images I create are beautiful well thought out narratives of the many journey’s I’ve had throughout my life. They are maps of my imagination with color and pattern."

"Throughout my twenties, I was a dedicated musician in which I only made sounds to record them. Over the years I built up a large portfolio of disks in which I called my paintings. They were paintings that you listened too, and what you listened too were the images in my head."

"Though I love to make art, there are other things that are in the mix. I’m a single parent of a nine year old boy. My son is the focus of my life in many ways, and I cherish his existence. I’m currently a cashier at a grocery store, and in training to be a phlebotomist."

"I like to ride my bike and problem solve with friends. Like garlic is to salad dressing, is like insanity to art"
