David Blackwell's artist statement:
My Inspiration: What is the inspiration behind my work? A flow of unleashed imagery that will not allow me sleep and invades my wakeness. Unexpressed creativity is like water trapped behind a dam. Some of the water must be allowed to pass through or ruination will surely occur… somewhere! Rushing out, Equalizing, Leveling as it hugs and caresses the earth after. The creative act can be calming or emotional for me, but the act of expressing always grants me sanity.
