The United Nations Association International Choir (UNAIC) announces open auditions for new singers at the conclusion of the first two rehearsals of the season: Monday, August 23 or Monday, August 30 at 9:15 PM. Rehearsals are held at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 1805 W. Alabama (77098). Singers wanting to audition are welcome to come to the entire rehearsal (7:30-9:15 p.m.) or come between 9 and 9:15 p.m. Interested singers may either call 281-498-7562 or submit forms found on the Choir’s website: www.unahouston.org/unachoir. Singers at least 15 years old of all backgrounds, cultures and ethnicities are encouraged to audition; choral experience and the ability to read music are desirable but not required. Those accepted into the Choir will perform international music, always sung in its original languages, during the 2010-2011 concert season. Choir membership dues, which include all sheet music fees, are assessed if singers are accepted into the Choir (limited scholarships are available).
