Please join us for a screening of the PBS documentary, Living with the Trinity. The Emmy Award winning director Rob Tranchin will be in attendance for both a pre-screening reception and post screening Q&A. The film examines the battle to save Texas's Trinity River from a plan by power brokers in Dallas who wished to convert it to a barge canal that would transform Dallas/Ft/ Worth into "port" cities. Only through grass roots efforts by citizens organizations was this ecologically dissasterous plan foiled.
Also at the screening will be free popcorn and drinks and door prizes from our three sponsors: Houston Sierra Club, Houston Audubon, and Austin Canoe and Kayak...and a copy of the film on DVD!
