Go on assignment to provide a glimpse into one day in the life of Austin, Texas.
We’re considering online portfolios for a one-hour assignment from noon on September 24 until noon on September 25 on location in Austin, Texas, for our November exhibit, 24 Hours in Austin.
YOU ARE ELIGIBLE TO SUBMIT if you are an emerging or established artist creating original visual art and photography, in any media, 2-D, 3-D or video/film. Enter by September 1 to have your online portfolio considered for assignment for one hour between noon on September 24 until noon on September 25 in Austin, Texas.
HOW TO SUBMIT: You may submit your online portfolio for one entry fee of $35 plus sales tax (required by Texas state law). If you wish to submit an online portfolio of works created in more than one media, please submit a separate entry for each form of media. Entries will be judged on the basis of creativity in expression; on the basis of your interpretive style; in consideration of your professional execution; and the wow factor of your work. If chosen to participate, your contributions to the 24 Hours in Austin project will be exhibited in downtown Austin at Austin Details Art + Photo gallery, 106 East 8th Austin, TX 78701, opening November 12.
DEADLINE for submissions: September 1, 2010 (requests for extension cannot be considered).
ACCEPTANCE: You will receive notification if accepted, or not, by September 6 via email; if selected, you’ll receive your assignment for one hour during September 24-25 at that time.
YOUR ORIGINAL ART IS DUE at our downtown Austin gallery 106 East 8th Austin, TX 78701 by October 20: You will be notified of details by email.

SUBMIT A LINK TO YOUR ONLINE PORTFOLIO ONLY: Ideally your online portfolio will be your website, where your examples of your creative work, your creative bio and your creative experience are available. Make payment via PayPal, and you will receive payment confirmation with submission instructions after you have paid. No mail or print entries are accepted. Mailed entries cannot be returned.
COST: The cost of entering is $35 plus tax. There are no further fees due if you are chosen for assignment.
