Lora Reynolds Gallery currently seeks to fill a part-time position for
a Gallery Manager. The position involves responsibility for the day to
day running of the gallery, artist and client liaison, as well as the
development and installation of exhibitions and events. The applicant
will have 1-2 years experience working in a commercial art gallery or
similar organization.
Responsibilities include interacting with the public, writing press
releases, giving gallery tours/talks, community and press outreach,
and traveling for art fairs. Total required hours averages 28-30
weekly, but will require more during exhibition openings and special
events. Flexibility of schedule is a requirement.
Additional responsibilities:
General administration duties to include invoicing, accounting, as
well as creating consignment agreements and loan forms with artists
and/or galleries
Arranging transportation of artwork to and from the gallery, both
nationally and internationally by working closely with artists and
fine art shippers
Working closely with individual artists
Developing and maintaining relationships with clients
