With only two years under its belt, this "baby-fresh fest" as Variety called it in 2008 has proven itself alive, kicking and a tremendous success, receiving nods and praise in national and international press. After being hailed "the best little festival" by the LA Weekly in its first year, year two has brought the festival the honor of being selected as "one of the top twenty five film festivals worth submitting your film to," by MovieMaker Magazine. The festival's nomination and selection was heavily backed by testimonials made by alumni filmmakers. The Third Annual Marfa Film Festival will be held May 5 - May 9, 2010, screening over 50 features, shorts and experimental works.
