Ox-Bow Artists’ Residencies for Visual Artists and Writers

Artists’ Residencies for Visual Artists and Writers One and two-week residencies from
June 6-August 21, 2010

Applicants may apply for either one or two week residencies during the summer cycle. Artists are selected upon the merit of their work and written statements describing their proposed use of the residency. Students are not eligible for this program.

During their stay, artists are encouraged to present a slide lecture or reading of their work and to participate in the community life at Ox-Bow. Recipients receive a small private studio and room and board.

Summer residencies are ideal for artists who need little equipment outside of their own studios. Please note that the classroom studio facilities are not available to ARs.

Artists’ in Residence are required to pay a fee of $535 per week, due at the time the residency is awarded. A limited number of residency scholarships, covering a portion of the fee, are available. All residency applicants are eligible. Please indicate your interest in being considered for an award on your application, and complete the supplemental aid form included with the residency application. Scholarship recipients will be notified at the same time as notification of their acceptance for a residency.
