The Artist SPEAKeasy

The Artist SPEAKeasy: Artists and audience speak easy, keep it casual, and come together for this bi-monthly event. At the Speakeasy, two artists present their latest work and the story behind its creation. Visual artists share slides, writers perform readings, and performers showcase their talent in this supportive and informal atmosphere. A question and answer session follows, where the audience can find out more about creative methods, technical challenges, and everything in between. Encouraging dialogue in an informal atmosphere, the Artist SPEAKeasy is designed to introduce local artists to the public and to each other and features artists working in differing artistic arenas (performing, visual, literary, etc.) in order to foster conversation and cross-disciplinary pollination.
