Charleen Baugh is a native Houstonian who has been capturing the beauty and elements of nature through the lens of her camera for 20 years.  She particularly enjoys capturing the vibrant colors and art of nature, as well as the interaction of wildlife.  Her work includes expressive waterscapes, landscapes and abstracts, as well as special moments of wildlife interacting with each other or with nature.  Her artistic vision leads her to explore images that can be found within the “big picture” by observing detail in a scene which might otherwise be overlooked – a flow or combination of colors, one tree that stands out from the forest, or a play of light upon a subject.  Nature never ceases to provide unique opportunities for one who is paying attention.  Charleen strives to capture not only the beauty, but the emotion and feel of nature in her images in hopes the viewer will find within her images a moment of escape to enjoy nature.  Her work includes fine art prints (framed and unframed), mixed media pieces and note cards.

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, but I love to photograph all over, although primarily in the United States.  Nature and being outdoors are highlights in my life and I never cease to be amazed by Mother Nature.  From tiny little things that catch the eye, to the big picture - there is never enough time to take it all in. Through my photography I strive to capture the emotions and "feel" of nature in my images and hope that those viewing my art will connect with a special moment in time when they were out in nature.  Fine art prints and mixed media art (one of a kind) are the areas I work in and my art is continually evolving as I learn and try new things.  Enhancing via mixed media and/or enhancing and manipulating images through Photoshop are areas I am exploring - the possibilities are endless and the results are often fun, beautiful, unusual, bold, odd, subtle . . .   My fine art prints are the starting point and they in themselves are an art form I enjoy, from the sharp nature or wildlife image to reflections encompassing a broad array of colors which appeared naturally.  I keep trying to pick a favorite so I can focus on my "niche", but I like all the different areas I work in and so I suppose I am still searching for my niche - but what fun along the way!
