Currently working as a graphic designer, My first passion is fine art. I enjoy exploring the works of artists new and old, and experimenting with different media and techniques.

I began showing an interest in art at a very young age. Sitting
alone at the table with paper and a box of crayons, I would
spend hours creating refrigerator masterpieces. My art and I
have evolved much over the years, but the passion remains
and only grows stronger with time. The best thing about being
an artist is that I have the chance to visually convey who I am.
The message may not always be recognizable to some, but it's
there, lurking beneath the layers of paint and graphite.

It wasn't until later in my journey that I discovered my love for
color. Primarily working with graphite in my youth, I moved on
to acrylic paint. Still having the tendency to incorporate
graphite into my paintings, I also use various other media such
as ink, handmade papers and watercolor. I'm constantly at awe
with the layers and textures that this technique achieves and
tend approach subjects with a realistic yet whimsical hand.

I've found over time that certain elements and subject matter
are repetitious in my work. Nature, life, death and simply
existence capture my imagination. Birds fly, trees grow, and
people wander the earth. All of these work together, albeit in
harmony or discord, and they share a common fate. The
connections between them are made and the image is captured
and released through a brush and pencil. Portraying these
images is challenging at times but I remind myself that it's the
creative journey that matters most and not the actual
destination.
