Jeremy Choate is a Light Artist and Designer with more than fifteen years of experimentation. His light has been featured as installation in art galleries across the nation, FOUR COLOR SOUND: DiverseWorks (Houston), MC Gallery (Los Angeles), The Project (NYC); THE SOUND OF RED EARTH: Anderson Gallery (Richmond, VA); and SOMETHING LIKE FIREWORKS at the Davis Museum in Massachusetts. Upcoming exhibits include a sight specific installation for MASS MoCA open Fall 2011-2016. His work has been described as: "Sensually expansive" -LA Times, "Like meditation, if you're lucky" and "Intoxicating Beautiful" -Houston Chronicle. In Houston he lights Theatre for: Stages Repertory: (Oh The Humanity!, I Am My Own Wife, Zero Hour, Altar Boyz, Andrews Brothers, Panto Sleeping Beauty, Grey Gardens), and for Horse Head Theatre Co. (Fault Lines, Among the Thugs, Essential Self Defense), resident designer of Dance for: Suchu, Hope Stone, NobleMotion, iMEE, MBDE, and Revolve, and Music for Musiqa, Mercury Baroque, and for Tim Hagans Subversive Jazz. He has designed for productions in Spain, Sweden, California, Florida, New York, and throughout Texas.
