The Golden Cat Silk company is more about creating something to wear and cherish!As artists we all love to explore and often like to try things we never have tried out before!I have painted on wood surface before and wished to extend my work in a new way with the wood block prints in Gloden Cat Silk Original Designs.Having spent my childhood in Assam,India I have vivid memories of local fauna and animals.In some ways all those memories have made their way into this!For our silk lovers the two kinds of silks which we have picked are, one a raw silk called ,TASSAR and the other a BAKURA silk from Bengal,India.All our silks are hand dyed and hand sewn to shawls and scarves after they have been hand printed with wood blocks.

A selection of my original designs are represented in The Golden Cat Silk Originals, a collection of silk shawls and scarves since 2007. This wood block is our logo for THE GOLDEN CAT SILK COMPANY formed in 2007. We have participated in Spacetaker's event WHAM.2009!It was one of our great exposure to local clientele and seasonal holiday sales.To visit our product you may visit us at studio#33, Winter Street Studios by appointment or on 2nd. Saturdays, between 2:00-5:00p.m.We are open to local showings and non-profit charity events!We look forward to build this line of product from our studio in Winter Street,Houston,Texas.
