Houston area artist and designer Amie Needham aims to produce
stationary that can change lives, evoke style and stir creativity. She
enjoys modern designs as well as retro patterns. She is inspired by
bold colors, the subtlety of nature, her own imagination, interesting
fabric and the possibility of a blank sheet of paper. She also loves
the colors she can make with her printer, the potential to create with
digital technology and the connection you can make with someone when
you send a handmade card, with a handwritten message inside.
Amie is originally from Louisiana, where she earned her bachelors
degree in History with a minor in English at Louisiana Tech
University. She now resides in Montgomery, Texas with her husband.
Her designs are featured in books, including The Handbook to Handmade
Volume IV by Timothy Adam Designs, and 1000 Handmade Greetings,
Creative Cards and Clever Correspondence by Laura McFadden and Deborah
Baskin.
