Syd Moen received both a B.A. in Art History and a Masters in Architecture from the University of Houston. Though originally trained in the field of architecture, she has been passionate about photography since childhood. As an emerging artist she combines alternative photographic processes, new technology and mixed media to express herself in her artwork.
Throughout the years I have experimented with numerous artistic mediums; however I always come back to photography as the core resource for my explorations of self-expression. By playing with the medium outside of conventional photographic methods I try to pursue a more personal interpretation of the subject rather than an exact reproduction.
