I drive too fast, show up 5 minutes late, eat on the run, smile my crooked smile at strangers, write stories about talking wolves and plays about fairy tale witches, I laugh loud enough for everyone to hear, I become passionately interested until I'm not anymore, I do all kinds of art as often as I can, but sometimes for 6 months I do nothing but read.  A man, in the middle of dumping me, once told me that I was “full of surprises.”

I like to pretend life is a fairy tale and go from there.  Not the Disney kind of fairy tale; the kind where the wicked stepmother dances to death in red-hot shoes and the big bad wolf gets chopped up with an axe.  If life were a fairy tale, I think that's the kind it would be.
